Home Again. Home Again.

Yay! We're home again!!!

Mommy's third round of consolidation therapy went well. It seemed to go much faster for some reason and we're now home!!

The chemo treatments went as scheduled throughout the week: Friday evening, Saturday morning, Sunday evening, Monday morning, Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning.

Whenever she was "off" we would take the opportunity to take a walk outside -- usually to the nearby CVS and food court. It doesn't take much to keep us entertained. :) Plus, we didn't want to go too far or spend too much time outside -- to avoid getting overheated or something :)

Before leaving today they ordered a series of tests because of some difficult breathing Mommy was experiencing this morning. They did blood tests, a chest x-ray, an EKG and an ECHO test (an ultrasound of the heart).

All of the tests were done from the comfort of her own room -- while the chemo was dripping. As a matter of fact, while the ultrasound techs were by her bedside, setting up their machine, the x-ray tech came in and placed the plate behind her back. He wheeled in the machine, made some adjustments to it, and after asking us to clear the room for a second -- completed the x ray test and left the ultrasound tech to do their thing.

We were packed and ready to go pretty early this morning so we were thankful that they were able to take care of her tests early in the day and run the results pretty fast as well. All the tests came back negative -- everything looked normal and beautiful... PRAISE THE LORD!

The difficulty breathing was mild and went away, but the team wanted to make sure nothing was wrong before discharging her. That's fine. It's good to know everything is okay.

Tomorrow night she'll begin her neupogen treatments and we again begin the wait for the fall and rise of her counts. :)

Thanks for praying for this week. It went well -- pretty uneventful. And that's a good thing.

Thank God for "uneventful"! These days, it is also a blessing. ~Keeping you all in our prayers~
